Child Protection

Save the Children is a recognized player in child protection working throughout the country building caregivers' capacity to recognize and deal with child protection issues, establishing systems for referral and monitoring and working to promote alternative care and legislative changes. To this end, we have implemented child protection initiatives with involvement of large number of stakeholders, caregivers, children and parents to establish common understanding of existing child protection concerns and find viable mechanisms to prevent, identify and address those concerns in line with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UN CRC). We have been raising awareness of parents and capacity of caregivers to ensure that positive parenting approaches are used for upbringing of children including those with disabilities.
