Armenia is a landlocked mountainous country in the South Caucasus region of Eurasia. Located at the crossroads of Western Asia and Eastern Europe, it is bordered by Turkey to the west, Georgia to the north, Azerbaijan to the east, and Iran to the south. There is currently no open border with Turkey and Azerbaijan.

Save the Children has been working in Armenia for the past 20 years earning a high reputation for delivering quality programs for children, and establishing strong and influential relationships with government and civil society networks. We have managed over $60 million in aid programs to the most vulnerable populations of Armenia, and continue to be one of the leading assistance providers in the country. We put our efforts to make Armenia a country which protects and values each child, where all children can realize their rights having hope and opportunity. Since establishment of its presence in the country, Save the Children has managed and delivered a range of quality relief and development programs that benefited over 440,000 children.  Our vital health, education, child protection and social initiatives have helped improve basic conditions of the poorest populations through community-based projects and capacity building of local partners and institutions. By involving local NGOs and their networks in our programs we help them grow and develop into powerful civil society organisations contributing to the well-being of vulnerable populations in Armenia.
