Sharing is caring for sure. With this motto Save the Children (SCI) organized an experience-sharing-meeting between the specialists from Emili Aregak Day Care Center for Children with Multiple Disabilities in Gyumri and our “Community Based Service for People with Disabilities” (MACF) Project Partner Organizations (Armavir Development Center NGO (ADC) and Full Life (FL) NGO).

Four years ago, Paradzem, age 44, was forced to flee the war in Syria where she lived for more than 22 years. Parandzem, returned to Armenia as a refugee with her husband and two sons, ages 13 and 16. This relocation has changed the family’s lives radically. Notwithstanding integration, social and economic challenges Parandzem’s family never gave up.

The Rural Income Generation (RIG) project implemented by Save The Children in Armenia is one of the two winners of the 2013 “Put your project in the headline” photo competition. The competition was held by the EU Neighbourhood Info Centre.
